While there, Matthew trained as a mediator and volunteered his time at the Harris County Dispute Resolution Center and the Justice of the Peace Courts. After graduation, Matthew focused his practice on estate planning matters, such as wills, trusts, and probate law.
Matthew relocated to Utah in 2012 and began working in family law in 2015. For nearly a decade, Matthew has assisted hundreds of clients through divorces, custody disputes, alimony and child support cases. During this time, he has developed close relationships with domestic relations commissioners, judges, and other attorneys which give him the insight into how your case will likely play out, and the ability to reach the best possible outcome.
In addition to representing husbands, wives, dads, and moms, Matthew also represents minor children as their Private Guardian ad litem (PGAL) in custody disputes when appointed by Utah courts. This gives him unique insight into how these disputes impact children as well as how to best protect children from parental conflict.
When not in the office, Matthew enjoys spending time exploring the outdoors with his wife, two children, and three dogs.
